The.Ory, Mosquitoes and Steampunkish vibe
Published on: 2010-09-02T03:59:25Z
Life is challenging me. All of a sudden, just like you don't expect it to happen, everything is upside down. It's very difficult to find the right balance when something so 'important' happens.
"Only a few find the way, some don't recognize it when they do. Some don't ever want to."
In my case, I am still floating somewhere up there trying to look down and find the right place to stay.
I am however sure the right place is not past week's shoot location. We had to postpone the shoot couple of times and, in the end, we went for something totally different as the original plan didn't work out. I left early in the morning and arrived in Udine, where The.Ory and her husband picked me up and took me to their place, where I dolled up and got ready for the shoot. I met their awesome cats -cats always make me happy- and we headed to a park to shoot outdoor.
I have not enough and proper words to describe you how the terrible horde of zombie mosquitoes tried to eat our brains. We literally got attacked, but shoot nonetheless and we're still alive. I counted around 24 huge bites on my legs (the ones that didn't disappear) and both The.Ory and her husband experienced quite some bites. We shoot all of the morning, it was terribly hot (also because I was wearing a wig, uhu) and it went well. I've seen the pics already and I like quite a lot of them. Plus, I look very different by wearing that wig, which was a deep red-brownish colour I fell in love with.

After the shoot, we all went back to The.Ory HQ where I enjoyed her special zucchini-carbonara pasta. Yummy! That pasta made my day. Then I met couple of friends and visited some art exhibition [there actually was art on the street, so easy task]. The bad side of it all has been a terrible headache that didn't let me feel good, however after three pills and some hours it let at least me sleep.
Will sort pics next days, both from the 'old' set (the lolita one) and this set. We have so many pics we didn't release or that we want to use! This reminds me I still have to get quite a lot of (not even seen yet) pics from past months' shoots. Please photographers, send me something? :(

Hello! I am floating again somewhere among the clouds, feeling either really well and confused. Sometimes life challenges you. And, as a result, I forget about posting here :)
August, the 25th has been my birthday. Thank you everyone who sent me wishes; I really appreciated them. Makes me feel special receiving messages and emails wishing me a good day. I am so grateful. I am going to reply everyone, will be very slow doing it though :)
I turned 28. Not old, not even young. It's just like when a whole year ends, and you sit down and think what you did until that moment, what you want to do. List your goals, save what you learnt. Look around, live and breath and try to keep learning.
Will be back with a proper entry very soon :)

The dwarf sleeping in the mountain
Published on: 2010-08-01T12:36:43Z
I grew up in a small village up north, and still live there. I am proud to say it's such a beautiful place. Relaxing, peaceful, lovely. And there are mountains, lots of [in fact, it's situated right in the middle of the mountains!].
When I was a child, I've been lucky to meet a few people. Everyone taught me something, even when they didn't mean to do it. The story I am about to tell you is something quite close to this situation: something I have been told that I am still keeping in my heart.
Imagine a small Delilah. Just for the sake of your better imagination, I was blonde, cute and always holding a black cat in my arms. I was about five years old I guess, probably even less. Don't ask me to recall my age please :)
My neighbours were an old couple. Of course at that time they weren't old, however what you expect from a child. They looked old to me. The man, Mr G, one evening pointed some mountains and told me: "Can you see over there? There's a Dwarf sleeping in the mountain. He's waiting for the princess to come over and release him" - I was looking at these mountains and couldn't really imagine anything looking like a dwarf. The neighbour continued: "Until the day of the Princess' arrival, the Dwarf will sleep. He's been sleeping for centuries already. Who knows how much will he sleep!". I continued staring at the mountain. "I can't see it".
So he went on his knees and shown me, pointing the finger towards the mountains: "Can you see that? It's his nose. Look at it" - "That one?" (pointing with my little finger towards the same direction). "Yes. Now look a bit down. You see, if there's a nose there must be a face. Can you see his head?". - "I think I can" - "Great. Now, look at the left. There are the hands on his belly, the legs, the feet. Can you see them now?". And something happened. I slowly started seeing the thing in the whole, the picture formed in my head. I saw the Dwarf. All of those pieces, the nose, the hands, the sleeping dwarf, the princess, I realized there actually really was a Dwarf over there. Sleeping. Waiting for the princess. And of course, *I* wanted to go there and wake him up. Because you know, he was trapped in the mountain and the mountain looked like a Dwarf. Because he's there. Waiting for that glorious moment to come.
After more than twenty years, I still look at the Dwarf. I sit down during the evening and look at him. I wonder when the princess will come and save him. The most precious gift we have is imagination and fantasy. It's how I would like to raise my children: letting them use their minds to create awesome things, stories, other worlds.
And you.. can you see the Dwarf?

Amazing Horses and one more pic
Published on: 2010-07-29T19:23:47Z
Someone take that damn Amazing Horse song by Weebl off my head. I get caught singing it. In the office. Not good.
In other news, a colleague at work is leaving. I am quite sad as I am used seeing him everyday and make silent jokes. Just like when I attached many sweets on his computer by using rolled tape, so he came back from the lunch break and found these sweets hanging from everywhere. Of course I wish him well whatever he will do, still I don't like to look at his empty room.. He's a good guy, a bit weird tho. You need to put the right amount of effort in order to fully understand him (do we ever 'fully' understand someone, even?) - and his departure kinda breaks the office balance. The other guys over there are feeling way worse, as they worked together for years. In my case, it's just a few months - still sad face :(
Anyway, let's continue the 'female photographers' saga, third chapter. This picture comes from another set shot with Senia Ferrante:

I can't wait to get more from our day of shooting, we put much effort and love <3. The photographer is technically awesome and even if she keeps calling herself 'amateur', I can tell you she's definitely a pro.
Also, she's very caring. She helped me a lot when planning the shoot: she picked up the clothing (those were amazing outfits - aww) and called a MUA (Simona Breazu). She booked a studio and we shot over there. She brought drinks and food at the shoot, she even picked me up the metro station and drove me back. I mean, wow.

Rain and purple aprons
Published on: 2010-07-25T09:34:00Z
I love rain. The smell of rain and also summer thunderstorms are the best. It's awesome when you can just be lazy and stay in bed and it's raining outside.
After a month, this has been the first Saturday in which I could just be lazy. I am spending the weekend by tidying up my room, sorting files, pondering about reinstalling Windows on my laptop (I think I mentioned already I had some problem with W7, just like: instant OS death, boo!), forcing myself to be lazy for a while. I never am lazy, my ToDo lists are always so huge and full of things to do, I never take a proper break and keep adding items to the above mentioned lists. I'll just pretend I'm dead today and freeze everything in order to relax a bit.
Back to The.Ory shoot: last time I posted couple of portraits (one on my journal, then a special preview on my Twitter). Here's a picture of the whole. Mew, mew!

Oh and also the purple apron, wristbands and spats were provided by the amazing The.Ory team. Made on purpose for the shoot. That made me happy :D
What I love the most with shoots with her is that she cares a lot about models, helps with clothing/accessories, pulls her organization and management skills to the extreme. Believe me, it's not that common.
Often photographers (or, at least, most of the ones I worked with) expect you to find a location, provide original and never-seen-before clothes and accessories, make an amazing styling and makeup and I often found myself retouching the pictures as well (with photog's permission, of course; I also work as post producer, in case you did not know). Sometimes, it's just too much effort for a simple (TFCD-like) shoot in which I get really few pictures in return.
The whole work takes weeks in which I am supposed to do everything and this stresses me a lot, having to deal with real-life and fulltime work as well. I love doing it, unless it feels like everything depends on me and I get no support. I am probably the most unlucky girl of the planet :D - thankfully someone proves me I'm wrong, from time to time. And The.Ory is a bright example of that. We're planning another shoot soon and she's taking much care of it all. Thank you! :)
Next post will probably be about another female photographer. I am having great experiences with female photographers, I'll tell you.. so actually 2 or 3 posts in a row about female photographers that made me feel pretty are welcome!
Have a nice weekend :D

Shower: check. Facial mask: check. Eau de Toilette: check. Bright Green Hair: check. I am therefore ready to write this journal entry.
I was meant to write a new one and publish it while I was away in Milano past week, however I've been very busy and it was so hot that I didn't feel doing much with the computer. Milano and Novara were just too hot for me; my body stands a temperature up to 22°C. Anything more is considered 'too hot'.
I am doing a lot lately. Not really writing it here or publishing any result, however I am pleased with all of those things. Speaking about photography, I am planning couple of shoots that are supposed to go online on my website and I also finally made my mind about the new tablet, so I am getting one very soon as well.
The following picture is courtesy of Ghostdog. I was waiting for more pretty pictures to arrive in my inbox before posting, however the lady is very busy and I'll pretend it's a good excuse for me to show something anyway ;)

I am posting this because it's very different from most pictures I have. I look different, still it's me. I look older for some reason :D
That day has been amazing. I was shooting with couple of girls that just made me laugh all of the time. I had fun, sometimes had to ask them to stop shooting because I was laughing too much.
If you want to see one more pic of me (my favourite setting!), check it out HERE on Miss G's flickr :) (here's another one, even if you can't really say it's me :P). Check her work, she's an awesome photographer really <3.

Doubts
Published on: 2010-07-08T22:35:10Z
I sometimes spend so much time thinking what to write here that I could write a book during the same time frame instead. I am everyday doubtful about the topic, whether it'll be okay or not. I try to attach a photo to every post, however I am still unsure I'd better attach polished pics or whether webcam shots or self portraits would be okay. Also, I'd like to post images that aren't all self-centered (a picture of something else, in short) - however I still don't know. I am so accustomed using this page to let the world know about what I am doing modelling-wise that feels totally weird not to do so for each post.
If you want to read the everyday Delilah, I post enough 'personal' stuff on Twitter. In a special way when I am alone at the office. I also post backstage images and outtakes, just like this one I posted couple of days ago. This set won't go public and not even online afaik, however I squeezed myself into a self-portrait so I could show you the makeup. I'll try to get a closer eye-image so I can show you the exquisite colour blending. Yeah. Anyway. This was a quick -yesI'mstillalive- kind of post. Will throw something better online tomorrow. With proper pics and all that is :) Goodnight! |
Prince the frog was crossing the street..
Published on: 2010-06-27T22:05:44Z
I have been very quiet past week. Had much to do and worked 10 hours per day at the office. I was surprisingly full of energy yesterday and did many things (laundry, cleanings, feeling generally very okay). I was also supposed to fix a computer on Saturday morning, however the computer's owner is giving it a try by herself.
Once again.
I am very proud of her. She's a woman in her 50s who is learning how to use a computer. She's doing lots of trial and error, being very curious about how things work, asking for help only when she can't make it by herself. This is the right way to go. I was just like the same, and I would not have learnt a single thing if I asked for help every time a file disappeared or my computer went nuts. And actually, she's learning things the same way - doing it very slowly, however putting all efforts into it.
Speaking of technology, my tablet died right on my face. Ha. I tried almost everything to make it come back to life, however it has been useless. I'm therefore getting a new one as soon as possible - I have so much work to do. It's incredible how concrete Murphy's laws are - when you have lots of work to do and literally -mountains- of photos to edit, your favourite device and tool of trade decides not to work anymore. Sad day.
To cheer you up, I am posting a picture of my new little friend - Prince. I met it today during a walk on the mountains. It just crossed the street and I wanted to take a picture for you to see - and for me because I love taking pictures, in a special way if they're animals (and insects and all that's in between - monsters!).

It was a very small froggie (that is my hand, so you get an idea). I released it immediately after taking couple of pics, helping it to go the other way on the street, where a small river was. I like to imagine it bathing and telling friends about its adventure crossing the street, when a giant picked it up and..

Here's a new picture of me to decorate my journal with. I wrote about this photoshoot some time ago. Didn't name the photographer, however I was talking about "a local". Here you go.
We shot this set in a quite crowded place. We were, like, in the middle of nowhere and looks like everyone in the world decided to meet up there. We tried to reach the other side of the universe in order to be able to peacefully shoot, however we just couldn't hide. I think I spotted couple of people I know by sight - I can't actually remember who they are, however I am sure I've seen them many times. It feels weird, as actually we were shooting around my area and kinda nobody knows about my 'alter ego' so for the very first time I've been a bit worry about people recognising me. I am still wondering who the hell they were.
So here's a funny lolita version of me shot by The.Ory; many thanks to her husband who stood there all day helping with the shoot and being generally patient. It was our first shoot, weather was tricky, we experimented a bit and had fun. Result:

Yes, those are cat ears and she made them on purpose for the shoot. They looked so damn cute <3. Will post a full-body/(whole) headshot pic soon, I just changed my mind at the very last minute and am posting a picture only at a time :). I know I probably should have gone for a outfit-ensemble for the first post, however this one looked so fairytale-like I couldn't resist.
We planned more shoots in the future (and another one is on the way), however sadly I had no time to shoot thus we couldn't make anything new lately. I am behind everything, my ToDo list is huge, I am working all of the time so sometimes my only day off is Sunday and I need to catch up with lots of other things. I wish I had more time to do what I like, really.
I'd also like to thank Boy of Bow and BleedingEars2814 for their posts about me. I sometimes stumble upon bloggers posts and it's awesome. So pay them a visit on their blogs, just like I did; they're interesting, feature various art, topics and they put much care in what they do. Also, if you are a blogger and wrote something about me in the past, let me know, so I can thank you as well :)

Yarr! Pirates!
Published on: 2010-06-10T22:30:33Z
As I've just said, YARR! I am happy I finally got a picture to show you everyone that portrays me together with SorryCamilla!
I planned to stay over the night at her place for this shoot and, instead, I didn't manage it. Sadly for me, I had an important meeting the day after and I wanted to make sure I would have been there in time.. and Italian train system is quite evil if you ask me.
I left home (very) early in the morning, arrived in Padova, had a few-hours-in-a-rush shoot and left again to Milano. I even missed my train so I had to wait for the next one - luckily I managed to make it and arrived safely in Novara. Long day, if you ask me. I was very, very tired, however it has been worth it and can't wait for it to happen again.

The photographer is of course dear Marco Del Maschio, who did an extraordinary work. Camilla and I dressed up like pirates; I admit I have some self-portrait I took, however I never posted them. I can't wait to see the rest of this shoot, quite different from my usual style even if the themes kinda stay the same. I love to see how a concept gets tweaked and looks like in the end. Every photographer has his/her own view on the subject and the image. This has been a daring shoot and we all dared a lot. And laughed a lot, of course. I couldn't stop laughing after Camilla attempted a pose in which she was picking her nose with the pirate's sword, I believe Marco secretly shot her a picture however she's probably threatening him because of that. Ahah! :D
Yes, it has been an awesome day.

Stomacher
Published on: 2010-06-09T11:22:46Z
I was performing some research about fashion and costume history, in order to grab some interesting element I could add to my "new" dress. I anyway got caught by that hyperlink galore and a few clicks later, I stumbled upon the 'Stomacher' definition on wikipedia. I am not a big fan of wikipedia, however this part sounded very interesting:Necklines also defined the length of a stomacher. There was a brief period during the court of Louis XVI, when the neckline and stomacher actually were below the breasts, which were covered by a transparent ruffle of fabric called a fichu. The nipples could then be rouged or even pierced and decorated with pearls or other gemstones. This fashion did not take off, and, for the most part, the necklines ranged from demure to daring, but still covered the breasts.
Very daring fashion if you ask me. I didn't know nipples were rouged or, even, pierced! Back then! So in short, fashion goes on and off, as we all know and notice everyday.
Picture post will follow, as of course I have nothing to match this entry with ;)
There is always a price to pay..

Not sure I've ever mentioned that I sometimes read mangas. Well, let me tell you: I am very picky. A few only catch my attention. I've read many of them and, as for some, I've just watched the anime. I like certain characters and I relate with others. I am not a Japan addict, however I sincerely admire Japanese sense of beauty - aesthetics - that shows everywhere, from costumes to food. And I strongly believe Japanese girls are the most beautiful in the world. Of course.
That said, even not being a Japan fangirl some of my gestures are typically anime-ish. I have been, no doubt, influenced by cartoons at early age, when I was a child and behaved consequently ever since. In my little fairy world, I look at people through a 'cartoon filter' that allows me to see the outer world from a different and funnier perspective.
Oh well, back to the original topic. Why did I mention manga(s)? Well, I just wanted to share a line that is sitting into my mind these days. I read it long ago and I've been very touched by it since the very first time. I liked that a lot.
The concept is simple: we're talking about balance. Yuuko (xxxHolic, portrayed in the attached picture), the breathtakingly beautiful owner of a mysterious shop, says that there is always a price to pay.

"The time and space witch as she had been frequently referred to has the ability to grant other people?s wishes at a price equally corresponding to the weight of the wish itself. Nothing?s lesser, nothing?s excessive, there always should be balance." #quote (spoiler alert)
These few lines sum it up. Nothing's lesser, nothing's excessive, there always should be balance. A price has to equally correspond to the weight of the wish itself. The whole balance concept is fascinating, don't you think? :) Oh and of course, I strongly advice you to read xxxHolic ;P

weekend, new dress and time machine :D

Oh, weekend sweet weekend, you're almost gone already!
This week has been harder than others, due to many circumstances [including some nasty sickness and fever that got me past couple of days and is still haunting me]. I also tried the notes trick I told you about in the latest entry and it kinda worked. I just didn't have enough time to work on it so allow me some practice before :). I took some 'diary notes' for my own amusement and in order to use the journal a bit more, since many people also wanted to know what I do everyday besides modelling. Basically, I work :P - so I don't have much to say, sorry.
Anyway: as follows, my weekend diary :)
22/05/10
I am sitting outside looking at the sky and the sea. I am writing 'offline', ie using some random piece of paper I found in my bag and a pen. We left to seaside today, much needed and unexpected vacation. We're going to stay over the night and I didn't bring my laptop with me, so I won't be tempted working instead of relaxing. So, we arrived here this morning and went to the beach. I managed not to get sunburnt and all is well :)
We also had a pleasant walk and stumbled upon a charity market. I am fond of those vintage markets in which you can find both antiques and more modern items. I am now the proud owner of an handmade dress, probably older than me, that needed some love. Not my size, it has to be properly fixed and stuff and here the hardest part comes. The dress is very suitable for shoots, however I have to work on it a little bit first. Make it smaller [my mother will help me as I'm not very good at sewing, I can only do basic stuff] and I'd like to add some lace and some detail. Maybe a brooch, too! I'd also like to add some ring on the back, so I can tighten it up when wearing a corset [it's too large now]. We'll see :)
23/05/10
After waking up, we had a long walk on the water's edge. I am amazed by how many people there were around. While coming back to the home we were staying in, I stumbled upon a girl. It's weird when you meet someone again after so many years and basically do not know what to say because you know nothing about their life and you fear about asking something that 'has not to be asked'. Like: 'are you married?' 'Oh I divorced twice!' or something like that. We used to know each other quite well when we were kids, then life -as it happens- divided us. We have never been 'best friends' still I looked at her and saw her fresh kid face, blinked and saw a woman. Feels so strange. I aged too, I know :D still it's when you see others that you realize years passed by. And there's nothing bad with it :)
..and since years pass by and we all know about it, let me post one of my oldest pictures. This is from a photoset I did long ago. Photographer is Lazarus Walking and I was shooting for Feronia (stylist).. I think it was 2005, so five fat years ago :)

How many of you can remember the first time I posted this picture (or others from this set)? I know there are people that follow me since 2005 and even earlier. Thank you, really <3 :)

I've dolled up my website a bit. I hope it looks better now. Many small fixes have yet to come - I'm taking things easy :)
So this is my new banner if you feel like supporting me, or just want to update an old one:
I was walking my way to the office today and was thinking. I always think a lot when I walk, to the point I don't even notice people waving at me. I definitely should make a note about what's in my mind: I create whole journal posts in those ten minutes and forget them once I'm back home during the evening. Oh, well. I promise I'll grab a pen and a notebook tomorrow [yes, I'm oldschool :)]. We'll see if it goes any better ;)

Looks like it's never going to stop raining here. Not sure about where you live, however it's about a month of neverending rain. After a while, depression kicks in and it's not easy to cope with an everyday-grey sky. Do you Londoners really live in such a scenario all of the time?
The severe lack of time and bad news didn't help a lot either. I am concentrating on future projects and on my planned trip to Santa Barbara, CA, this late summer. Any advice on where to go and what to do once there would be very welcome, thank you!

This is one of those pictures that sit on dvd's for lots of time and then you look at it and see something different. Works better when you don't see the pictures for some time, because you look at them as if it was the first time. And the resulting emotion is totally different.
Photography and editing are by Lionel and he's so kind to let me display his work on my website. This is part of a bondage set I did quite some time ago; even if I am not a fan of bondage, Lionel knows how to do it. If you check it with attention, you can see a white rope.
I first saw this picture today, and like it a lot. Brings back memories of this shoot: one of the best shoots ever. Lionel and I shot all day long, and did so for several days. I travelled about 5/6 hours per day and I slept very little. And those days are in my heart, despite the fact I was so sore during the evening you can't imagine (walking all day wearing punitive shoes isn't big fun). Still, I would do it again, because they have been awesome days and such a great experience. Thank you Lionel :)

Back from today's set..

Back from shooting. I've spent a nice day with a photographer and her husband (will make names once the first picture is up, so I can give proper credits :>). Weather has been nice enough to us, despite the previous days' catastrophic forecast. Weather was really important, since we were shooting outdoors.
So the sun was shining and we shot some fetish fantasy stuff and some lolita stuff. I really like the second set, while not too happy with the first one, even if there are some pics I am in love with. I feel like 'I could have done it better'. I strive for perfection.
Still, not bad methinks. I'm looking forward the pictures to better judge how we did ;P. I love doing something different. I keep learning, changing, it's something I definitely like. So the day has been good, except for the fact I damaged my boots. Boo :(
Will update the journal with a picture post once we sorted the set. In the meanwhile, have a look at these pictures Ricardo posted on the facebook page a while ago (hope the images show up below, as I am linking them directly from fb!)
Thank you Ricardo!

updates and nerd-geek labels

I am rooting in hope it doesn't rain this weekend. The photographer and I planned an outdoor shoot and weather forecast doesn't wish us the best really. We are planning couple of shoots; yes, not that many. Just couple of shoots so we can better know each other and have fun. We are brainstorming a lot these days and I am doing my best in order to provide a pretty styling :) we'll see. It'll be a test for us all.
In the meanwhile, I am working on my website some more. I wish I had enough time to sit down and do everything in my ToDo list, which is becoming really huge and unmanageable. Boo.
And then, just to show them, I'll sail to Ka-Troo
And Bring Back an It-Kutch, a Preep and a Proo,
A Nerkle, a Nerd, and a Seersucker, too!

I stumbled upon this funny Venn Diagram a few days ago: click me! - as you can read from the comments, many people don't agree with it. I enjoyed a lot reading the comments, people perceive labels in a very different way. Oh, Jargon File times, back then when wikipedia just didn't exist and JF was the basic reference tool. Nostalgia.
weekend, fixe magazine and facebook issues

So this week I've been into work a whole lot. And I am working on Saturday, too. I would write way more here if I actually had an exciting life instead of spending most of my day into the office :D (I tweet tho, so my office days are publicly enjoyable).
That said, this weekend - or what's left of it - I am supposed to fix couple of computers (hooray) and test all what's needed for next week's shoot. My laptop and I are arguing about one of the OSes installed, which keeps BSOD'ding all of the time. This is turning me crazy. I fixed gazillions of computers in my whole life and I've never seen such a disaster happening. We'll see, as the first time I tested W7 it worked well (and I own a legal copy, so it's even more supposed to work in my little fairy world!).
To make this day awesome, here I link you my latest interview, published on Fixe Magazine. Thanks to Wilfrid :)

I will soon offering this image as a print :) This is not photo nor a retouch, it's a drawing. Since the original version was very small (something around 600 * 800 pixels), I am now almost done with the second version which is way larger. Some smaller details are subject to change, due to the fact that redrawing it bigger doesn't mean 'resizing' so I can't make it perfectly alike.. still I am very proud of this :)
Also, public announcement: my personal facebook account has been disabled. Of course, it's not difficult to demonstrate I am me and I have to say that fb team replied my message after couple of days and Miss G is being really nice, and tried to solve the issue. So my account can easily be restored and all is well.
So, to the ones that were my friends: I did not delete or block you. Everything just happened as, I assume, the impersonator I reported reported me as well :). Just that in my case I am not the fake one ;P
However, after couple of days not using the website, I am probably not going for restoring it. I had too many friends, over 900 friend requests in waiting and I spent most of the time rejecting friend requests and/or asking people, in short, who the hell they were (yes, I kinda randomly approved random people in the past, my bad!).
This "accident" kinda saves me lots of time, so I don't have to manually go through everyone in my list and feel sorry because I am taking them off. I am taking some time to decide whether to come back with that account or not, however I got a page since quite some time and I prefer people to keep in touch with me there: Delilah Sixthessence. So please spread the word, so people don't think I just deleted them.
Also please note that, at the right moment, there are other people keeping the page running since there is more than one admin. The posts will anyway appear as if they were posted from 'me'. Other people will always sign the messages to avoid confusion :)
Thank you for understanding. If you want to contact me, there's plenty of links on the page. Otherwise, you can find me on MySpace, ModelMayhem, Twitter and My Website of course! :)

The NutCracker

So, back home. As mentioned in my previous entry, I have a project, which mostly involves working with people I've never worked before. Of course they should share my vision of life and arts and all that jazz.. and actually, things are going well. I am planning something new already and am so excited I can't wait to shoot again.
I believe there are different types of models. In my case, I like to create 'art', or at least I believe I'm trying to do so. I do not just pose, I am active part in the creative process. Planning a shoot and thinking about the styling is awesome. I like to talk to photographers and MUAs and Stylists and share ideas, concepts, brainstorm. I draw, and am very inspired by arts. I often portray my own characters, and draw lots of them for future reference. I hope I'll be able to show you some of them soon, according to the photographers I'll work with and to the stylists that will help me :)
I am very inspired, and love, fairytales, books and stories. And here's a character, slightly customized. Big love of mine: the NutCracker. Thanks to Senia who made my dream true:

I was supposed writing some journal entries before, however I had no time to do so. Please bear with me :) I'll try to catch up right now.
I left to Milano past saturday. I was supposed to stay one whole day in Padova, however since I had a very important meeting on sunday morning (very early) in Milano I had to change my plans all of a sudden. Arrived then in Padova, stopped for a few hours and had a shooting with Marco del Maschio and SorryCamilla. It has been fun, really, and I am glad we managed to shoot anyway :).
Best part of it all has been when both SorryCamilla and I realized that we had to move back to her apartment from fifth to ground floor. Kinda naked. We were wearing a towel only, and thankfully we didn't meet anyone in the elevator :3
I lost the train as I arrived late to the station, however managed to catch the other one and arrived in time (yay!). Also thanks to VerdeKiwi who come over to the trainstation to say hello! Go everyone visit his "Femme Fatale" photo exhibition in Padua; opening is April, the 17th at 18.30 - Sfizio Break Bar, Riviera Tito Livio 35 in Padova. You'll see my photos among the other ones (lots of pretty models!!) and I may be there as well ;) (leaflet)
Then I headed to Milano, where I shot some more. I also shot with dear Senia Ferrante, and here's one of the pics:

I bought those little red birds back in november, I guess :). Shooting with Senia has been awesome. She took care of everything. Loved it, really :). My plan of shooting with people I've never worked with before ended up very well :D
So first journal entry ends here. New entry, new pics, next post :)
Milano and Social Networking
Published on: 2010-03-27T20:58:42Z
My trip to Milano, Italy has been confirmed. Check the dates here!. Also, if you are on dopplr, you can keep an eye on my trips by adding my profile [note: I don't use dopplr as social network, so don't be offended if I don't follow you back!]. I like that dopplr notifies me about who's in the nearby anyway :). I am using it to plan my trips and such - just playing around with the website a bit.
I yet have to update my website - I have so little time for doing so I'll probably work on it a little more (and better) when I'll come back from Milano. Any advice on anything you think should be changed or updated, let me know. I make lots of websites for people and when it comes to mine I'm always in doubt. I sketched a new version already, way less content, however.. as usual, I ask you for advice on what you think should be 'better done' or so :). Thanks!
Oh, and speaking of updates, check my recently updated ModelMayhem profile :).
Latest note: I am receiving lots of friend requests on facebook. The right account to add is this one (not intended as 'fan page' of course). This happens because I am using the other one to network with models, photographers, makeup artists.. not posting pictures there, not a 'personal' one and nothing to see. I will be posting all of the new stuff here. Don't be offended if I ignore your request or don't add you back; it's the only account I am using for planning and networking so please, befriend me on MySpace instead or join the page I am using as second account :). Thank you for understanding!
How-Cool!, Latest trips to Milano and more

Okay I know, I've been neglecting my journal for couple of weeks, due to various reasons and circumstances. I have many things to say tho I'll try to keep it short ;)
As mentioned in the previous entry, thanks to all of the people who voted for me on the HowCool's contest - I got the weekly competition. After that, I have been automatically entered to the monthly contest as well and I won it (!!!!!!!). Thank to you, everyone. I didn't expect such a big support, didn't even dare to hope for it. I don't want to say much about this, just that I am so grateful and happy because you were there showing me your support, and this made my day <3

Other news, in random order:
Travelling: will travel to Milano again, click here for my travel calendar on Dopplr. I have the feeling this will be one of my very latest trips to Milano in which I dedicate my days to shootings. It's just not worth it. I am planning to travel somewhere else instead, and probably crossing Italian borders. Of course, photographers travelling around my area are welcome [and encouraged] to contact me :) Foreigner Photographers, Models, MUA, Stylists: drop me an email and let's plan something! :)
And as for now, I have to "fix" my hair. Looks nice, still I'm not 100% happy with it so I'll better evil plotting and do something creative with it tomorrow :). We'll see what I'll come up with! :)

I decided to wait until I got the official email. I was so anxious indeed that I wanted to read it somewhere first :)
This is a little post I am writing to THANK YOU everyone. I won the HowCool.com weekly contest, and this will allow me to receive a shopping spree [merchandise + p&p]. I will use this shopping spree to get new items for my modelling, as promised.
I would like to thank you everyone for voting for me. I felt ashamed bothering you on MySpace, Fb or Twitter - however I was this close and needed your support. You know I never beg for votes, however this wasn't a typical 'Miss Internet' contest. This was a great chance for me to get a shopping spree in a fantastic online web store [I bought from them in the past, so I can even tell you their service is great and their items are awesome]. I am so grateful you helped me. When I noticed my votes started to increase after asking, I felt so touched. Seeing that there actually were people willing to help me, even if it's a little thing as a click.. made me so happy. You really have no idea.
It's been years I am modelling and putting all my hopes, efforts, time and money into shoots. It's really a big present I got from you :) There are so many beautiful girls in that contest and I felt really loved because you were supporting me!
I hope one of you is the lucky random voter who got a $100 shopping spree. Are you? Let me know! I'd be so happy!
Also, I now moved to the monthly contest. I do not even dare hoping to win the monthly contest as well, even if it would mean $500 [and so much money mean new shoes and high heels and maybe costumes!]. In case you still want to help me, the new link for voting is THIS ONE . Monthly Contest will be open for voting for the first 7 days of each calendar month (for example, voting for the month of February will begin at midnight on the 28th of February and will continue until the March 7th at midnight - California Timezone).
That's it, I just wanted to say "thank you" :)

Carnival and all of the pretty things + GothicErotic feature

I am not sure I mentioned it here as well (while I probably did on Twitter), however I recently bought some new hairdye. Different colours as I am going to test how they look on me. I can't wait for the parcel to arrive! I will hopefully be able to show you one of those colours in less than a month, since I am planning a whole shooting day with another model [I am quite sure I mentioned this already, was it still on Twitter? *mumble*]. As for my other shooting in Venice in two weeks, rumours say it's postponed. Boo.Thankfully, it's carnival. This means this is the shopping time of the year in which I go in and out the shops looking for something special and pretty. So far, didn't find anything interesting. Will give it a try next days, according to my slavery-work timetable [I start before shops open and I quit once they're closed already o.O]. Some girls go crazy on sales days, I do it during Carnival and Halloween [oh and Christmas and Easter, I'm such a big decorations fan!!].
I always buy something, most probably completely useless, and I pretend the <totallyrandomuseless-but-pretty-item> is absolutely necessary as it has to be used for future shooting projects. Yeah, right.
What are the best accessories / prettythings you bought during carnival or halloween? I once bought some inflatable bat wings for my boyfriend. The win. If you know where I could buy some more, link me!! :D
Also, I am being featured on GothicErotic Blog. Check it out! :)
